Our Concierge Disney Wish Cruise Review And The Best Perks

The private concierge lounge is perfect for relaxing and unwinding during your cruise. This exclusive space features comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and drinks, and attentive service. There are many benefits to booking a Concierge Level stateroom on Disney Cruise Line. First, you’ll enjoy upgraded stateroom accommodations, with upgraded linens and sparkling wine waiting for you upon arrival. You’ll also have priority boarding when you arrive at the port, meaning you can head straight to your stateroom to drop off your luggage and start exploring the ship. For those looking for an extra touch of magic on their Disney Cruise, Concierge Level is the way to go!

Additionally, the concierge bartender also served us drinks in the lounge before the nightly Broadway style shows. Since she knew that we were going to the theater, the bartender put our drinks in glasses that fit inside the cup holders of the theater seats. I checked the DCL website and saw that it was going to cost roughly $1000 more to switch to a verandah room. We ultimately decided to just wait and inquire about upgrading our room at the port.

The Concierge Team

I was delighted that I finally got to experience Disney Concierge this past summer on our second sailing with Captain Minnie. Our most recent cruise, before our two Disney Wish sailings, had been on the Disney Magic, Disney’s first ship, so seeing the evolution of the guest experience and ship amenities was impressive. Larger families wishing to stay together will find the Concierge suites an excellent option for the extra space, special treatment, and amenities. Step into your cozy soft bathrobes and slippers that you can use during your cruise. Having sailed both in and out of these accommodations on Wish, I found myself enjoying more of the ship itself when sailing without concierge access.

Q: Is the Concierge Service Suitable for Families with Children?

Plus, they were incredibly helpful and really made our family vacation run smoothly. In addition, the concierge team checked us in for our flights the day before we arrived back in Miami. Our printed boarding passes for our flights were waiting for us in our room the day before we were scheduled to leave. Concierge guests are treated to a private reception with beverages and entertainment during one day of the cruise. This means your family can take photos with a character without waiting in one of the ship’s typical character lines. At our embarkation lunch, the concierge team let me know that any requests I had should go through them.

The Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah is priced at the lowest tier at $6,043, and the highest tier, The Wish Tower Suite, is priced at $31,120. The Royal Suite costs about 10.5 times the cost of the Inside Stateroom on the same cruise. The Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah is priced at the lowest tier at $13,668, and the highest tier, Concierge Royal Suite with Verandah, is priced at $44,636.

On average, you can expect to pay around $3,713 for two adult guests in a standard Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah on the Disney Wish. For a family of four adults, that same stateroom will cost around $5,332. And finally, for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, that same concierge stateroom will cost $5,304.

Concierge Team Services

Past guests of Disney will recognize the Oceaneer Club and the It’s a Small World nursery, but they’ve greatly expanded other kids club offerings. There are numerous interactive activities scattered throughout multiple rooms, including a mini Walt Disney Imagineering lab where children design their own roller coaster rides. I think the biggest change between the Disney Wish and the previous ships can be found in the kids clubs.

On the same cruise, a non-concierge verandah room starts at $1,950 for two or $3,051 for four. At least from my experience, I don’t think I can go on the other ships after seeing the Wish’s lounge and sundeck. Plus, let’s not forget about those king-sized beds in every Concierge stateroom. Even on the Dream or Fantasy, concierge is really nice, especially since you have your own portion of the ship blocked off for concierge guests only. For a 7-night voyage leaving from Barcelona on the Dream for 2 adults and 2 children, concierge staterooms start at $13,933.

If staying connected to the outside world is important to you, the benefits of Concierge on Disney Cruise may be worth it for you! Every guest staying in a Concierge stateroom receives complimentary internet packages – a valuable perk given the typically high cost of connectivity at sea. If you purchase an internet package, it will cost you $12 per day, per device. The Concierge Lounge offers extended hours, ensuring that guests have access to its comforts and services at almost any time of day. Whether it’s for a morning coffee or an evening cocktail, the lounge is a perfect spot to relax.

It wasn't one single thing that stood out to make concierge on the Disney Cruise exceptional but rather the combination of everything working together to elevate our experience. If you tally up every drink, smoothie, and bucket of popcorn and expect it to come close to the difference between non-concierge and concierge, it won't. The lounge was an exclusive haven where we could hang out and grab refreshments throughout the day. The 24/7 availability of Disney cartoons and animated classics on the televisions was really fun. We could also watch the ship's position and broadcasts with helpful information from the cruise director each day.

What’s different about the poolside dining on the Wish, compared to other Disney cruise ships, is the food court-like area with Tex-Mex, BBQ, pizza, burgers, and the ever-popular soft serve ice cream. However, as a budget-friendly traveler who enjoys splurging on luxury, I did not find this worth the spend. While many of the exclusive offerings were nice, I found the ship as a whole to be a luxury experience on its own. The on-deck food, like Marceline Market, is also worth visiting on your first Disney Wish cruise, but you may find it harder to work it in when you have access to the concierge lounge. Everyone on Disney Cruise Line can order room service to their stateroom at virtually any time of day for free.

I am sure that Disney Cruise lines will up its internet game on the Disney Wish new ship. I dont pretend to know any of the technical details, but a brand new ship can surely have a much better internet connection than one built a decade ago. There is huge demand for Concierge staterooms and it makes sense to offer more of them. The Disney Wish will have 76 Concierge Staterooms considerably more than any of the other Disney ships. Disney Cruise Lines has made the move to more than double the number of Concierge Staterooms.
